A recent survey in this community has shown that there has been a very large increase in the number of Penkridge people travelling out of our community every day to work.    The figure is shocking - 87% of people able to work are leaving Penkridge every working day - and the majority of them by car and at an ever increasing cost to themselves and to the environment.

We need, as a community, to address this problem.   If anyone has any ideas on how we can tackle this problem, please contact me or put your views ONLINE on the "Have Your Say" Community Forum.   It will be best tackled if we tackle it ourselves - leaving it to others just doesn't work. 

In the meantime, as a small contribution, I am offering free publicity to any employer in Penkridge Parish (or neighbouring parishes) but not, at the moment, to employers in Cannock, Stafford and Wolverhampton and further afield (unless your jobs can and will be reached by public transport - i.e. bus or train).
