Annual Party for the Over 60's organised by Penkridge Welfare Committee

On 12 April 2003, the annual party was held at the Peace Memorial Hall for the elderly of Penkridge Parish.  It is an annual party organised by the Penkridge Welfare Committee which has been in existence for many, many years.  An excellent free hot meal was provided, followed by entertainment from the Cannock Ex-Serviceman's Club, Male Voice Choir conducted by Peter Carey (who are incidentally on the lookout for new members - phone Owen on 712375).  The event is free and funding and other help is sought from different sources including The Goodies, Penkridge Parish Council, St. John Ambulance and Penkridge Rotary.   A raffle on the day also raised a considerable amount.  Thanks are again due to Chris McGee and her small stalwart Committee.

Here are one or two pictures taken at the event.
