Our First CONCERT was held at the METHODIST
CHURCH in Penkridge on Saturday 24 March 2012 - all tickets were sold.
It was a varied programme, consisting of the following: Viva
La Musica; All things bright and beautiful (John Rutter);
A duet "Bold Gendarmes" sung by John Aldridge and Wilf Beeson
; Ascot Gavotte; A solo "Memories" sung by Diane Jupp; Sound of Silence; Solo "OH! What a beautiful
morning sung by Wilf Beeson ; Solo "Foggy, Foggy Dew"
sung by John Aldridge; A London Medley;
Psalm 23 (Theme music from The Vicar of Dibley); Shalom
Chevrim;
During the evening, the audience participated in a Potpourri of popular
songs, including "Siegfried Line", "Run, Rabbit, Run", "Daisy Bell",
"Pack up your Troubles", "Tipperary", "Josh-u-ah", "You made me love
you", "Love's own sweet song", "On Ilkley Moor
baht 'at", "White Cliffs of Dover", and finally "We'll meet again".
Music Director was Anne Geoghegan and Pianist Tony Parker. In the interval, Richard Bisiker played classical guitar
music.

performance - is an album going on sale to compete with.........?"
