Please send details
of any event you would like to publicise, by email to the
(webmaster at penkridge.org.uk) or phone him on 712733. We would suggest you do not publicise ordinary group meetings for your members,
but stick to events where the general public are invited and welcome. You
could be embarrassed if half of Penkridge turn up to a Committee Meeting!
And the webmaster will be embarrassed if he ever gets a date wrong - so please
tell me. Please always check with the organisers
of the events, just in case dates have changed
and we haven't been informed - but we will do our best
to make sure the information is accurate and up-to-date.
We would strongly advise all Penkridge organisations to include their major events in this Diary so that others do not organise an event that may clash.
EVERY WEDNESDAY -
General Auction at Market - Around 600 lots of furniture, electrical
goods, ceramics, glassware, books, etc. every Wednesday at 10.30am.
Viewing Tuesday 2 to 6pm and Wednesday morning from 9am. Entries
accepted Thursdays and Fridays 9.15am to 4.30pm.

|Penkridge Memory Box: The Group hold a fortnightly Bingo night at the Reading Room (Church Hall). Doors open at 6.30pm to sell tickets and games start at 7pm. Tickets are £2 for a book of 10 games with 50p going towards the annual Christmas lunch for pensioners, the rest of the monies goes back into prize money. Refreshment break and raffle. Patrons can take their own drinks and nibbles.|

Haling Dene Centre. 7.30pm Full Parish Council Meeting.
There is also a PUBLIC MEETING AT 6pm BEFORE THE ABOVE COUNCIL MEETINGS.
All are invited to contribute their suggestions on how the Parish Council can help save our LIBRARY. The County Council is inviting
applications from organisations who would like to take over the management of our Library for the next 5 years.
|Sunday 11 November 2018 - 100 years ago WW1 ended and many countries in the world are today celebrating that event. In Penkridge you will hear a Piper at 6am in the morning, and at 7pm you will hear a Bugler give the last post. Our Beacon on Beacon Hill will be lit at 7pm and at 7.05pm the Town Crier will give "The Cry for Peace" by the Memorial, paying tribute to the 63 men from Penkridge, Teddesley Hay and Gailey who gave their lives in the 1914-18 war. There will be services in the Church and Chapel during the day and the Church Bells will be rung. If you know of any other special events being held on this day, please let me know so that I can list them on this website.|
