Penkridge Events Diary |
Please send details
of any event you would like to publicise by email to the
Webmaster
(webmaster at penkridge.org.uk) or phone him on 712733. We would suggest you do not publicise ordinary group meetings for your members,
but stick to events where the general public are invited and welcome. You
could be embarrassed if half of Penkridge turn up to a Committee Meeting!
And the webmaster will be embarrassed if he ever gets a date wrong - so please
tell me. Please always check with the organisers
of the events, just in case dates have changed
and we haven't been informed - but we will do our best
to make sure the information is accurate and up-to-date.
We would strongly advise all Penkridge
organisations to include their major events in this Diary so that others do not
organise an event that may clash.

Wednesday 5 October 2011
was the FIRST Meeting of PENKRIDGE Co-operative Society MEMBERS and
customers in the Reading Room,
Market Street, Penkridge. Come and meet the Management of your local Midcounties Co-op Store - ask questions, make suggestions, discuss how both the Society and the Members can work better together to benefit us all. Penkridge has had a Co-op since before World War 2, serving Penkridge people for around 80 years, moving to different premises around the village - before the war in the 1930s where the Star Pub is; next door to the White Hart on the A449 in the 1960s. A successful meeting was held and many questions were asked and answered. The senior staff of the Midcounties Co-op were pleased with the meeting, as I think, were the members who attended. A report of the meeting will be posted in the Store and it was agreed future meetings would be held and notices of them will be posted in the store. In the meantime, Dave and Kevin (the Store Manager and his Deputy), would welcome any comments or suggestions for improvement of the service. ITS YOUR STORE, SO SUPPORT IT AND VOICE YOUR VIEWS. |
