Civic Award Winner
Colin Oakley received the Adult Award this year for his good neighbourliness in
the community. He lives in Cannock Road and he can be seen daily
keeping his local area - Star Inn Car Park Area, Francis Green Lane, and Library
areas free from litter. Many of his neighbours also pay tribute to his
helpful attitude, which even extends to dog walking and looking after children.
He always stops and talks to people in the street and has a wealth of
information and knowledge about Penkridge and its history. His wife
Sheila and himself are portrayed above receiving the Award from Chairperson of
Penkridge Parish Council, Cllr. Mrs Anne Geoghegan.
