Very few people in Penkridge work harder for charities and voluntary organisations than Win Laffan, MBE, and her team. Throughout the last year, every week, they worked tirelessly to tease money out of the public in order to donate to worthy projects, many of which are in Penkridge. At her annual award ceremony in the Peace Memorial Hall on the 11 July, she handed out £9,800 to 17 causes, detailed above. In 33 years, they have donated £300,000.
