South Staffordshire District Council and Staffordshire Police have announced :-

The police have been informed that for the next five days the National Children's Deaf Society will be canvassing on behalf of their charity.  The canvassers are asking people to donate by signing a Direct Debit Mandate.  

It is recommended by Staffordshire Police that residents do not enter into any Direct Debit Mandate Agreement but may wish to make an alternative small donation.  

Under no circumstances should residents let any strangers into their property and always check the identity of any callers by telephoning the organisation they represent.  

Please check on our vulnerable and elderly members of our community to make sure they are safe and do not open the doors to any strangers.
