Penkridge
Parish Council have been busy preparing the new Burial Ground. They
have recently landscaped the pond that was already there and it is now a very
nice feature of the area with trees and shrubs planted and decking and a seat
overlooking the water. Unfortunately, there has been some vandalism and
anyone visiting that area is asked to report any damage to the Council. If
you see actual damage being inflicted on the site, please phone the Police
immediately (999) and complete an Incident Report Form (click
here for a copy). Plans are being drawn up for the plots with a
view to the Ground being brought into use by Spring 2004. Notices will
shortly be erected prohibiting the walking of dogs, skateboarding, cycling,
golf, dropping of litter, etc. and a penalty of up to a £1,000 fine could be
incurred.
